Highlights from Latin America Games Showcase 2026
Hello! You can read the title, you know what you’re here for. It’s time for our yearly recap of Summer Game Fest! You’ll be seeing some blog posts from us over the coming days about stuff we found interesting from the event!
Oh, and if you’re not familiar with me, hi! I’m not Sam, so the game picks this time around may be a little different from what you’re used to, but I’m sure you’ll find something interesting here.
Let’s kick off our recap with games I found interesting, and are worth keeping a wishlist slot open for, from Latin America Games Showcase 2026!
Litany
“A litany of options and a dozen ways to break the game.”
Litany is a roguelike deckbuilder taking heavy inspiration from the Balatro formula of playing cards, stacking passives, and making that Mult climb higher. But instead of playing poker, you’re playing your cards carefully into a grid ala Backpack Hero. Your cards interact with adjacent cards, so with the right strategy, you can really start popping off. Careful sequencing and clever strategies lead to deep strategic depth and even bigger numbers.
As of writing, Litany has a demo available as part of Steam Next Fest June 2026. If you’re interested, you can find more information here:
Bulbo’s Belief System
“I believe in gravity, but walls? Preposterous.”
Bulbo’s Belief System is a clever puzzle game centered around Bulbo’s rather limited mind. You see, he can only believe in so many things at once - walking, gravity, walls - all absurd concepts. You can “reverse falling” by doing something called a jump? Hogwash.
Well, it turns out that Bulbo’s faith (or lack thereof) is so powerful that any concepts he doesn’t believe in doesn’t apply. If you don’t believe in walls, just walk through them. This leads to many clever puzzles revolving around managing Bulbo’s beliefs.
As of writing, Bulbo’s Belief System has a demo available. I’ve played through it, and it is a treat if you’re into puzzlers. Just remember, when it looks like you’ve reached an end, THINK FREE.
Moonlight Pale
“In the light of the moon, the nascent nightmare blooms…”
Moonlight Pale is a beautifully hand-drawn survival horror game. You play as Juliette, who was lured into a nightmare by the ghost of her dead cat. Navigate a twisted school looking for a way out, meeting strange characters along the way. If you’re a fan of the Yomawari series, you’ll find a great adventure here.
Kernel Hearts
“Magical girls and bullet hell, and like in most JRPGs, you end up fighting god.”
Kernel Hearts is a cooperative roguelike game where you play as magical girls on a quest to slay god and the many angels in your way. You’ll ascend the Tower of Babel alone or with up to three friends, or you can relax with your allies and form deeper bonds.
The bullet hell action may be a little tamer than you’d expect if you’re coming from games like Homura Hime, but don’t be dismayed, the game is still a great time.
As of writing, Kernel Hearts has a demo available right now.
Play Faster
“No time to explain.”
If you liked Super Meat Boy, Play Faster is essentially that refined into even more frantic fast-paced platforming. You play as a square that can speed through stages like a bullet, ricocheting off of walls and bounding through obstacles like a box possessed.
With its near instant resets and focus on speedrunning, Play Faster is more of a mastery game than it is a rage game. If you enjoy fast-paced platforming like in Pizza Tower, this is worth checking out.
As of writing, Play Faster has a demo available. I don’t have anything to add this time, just play faster, alright?
