Eclectic And Exciting — More Games At The 10th Edition Of Tokyo Game Dungeon

Tokyo Game Dungeon continues to be one of our favourite local gaming events to attend in Tokyo. It’s like a magical treasure chest, you really don’t know what kind of games you’ll find there! From hobbyist games to those being published by indie labels of Japanese mega corporations, you’re certain to find an indie gem or two here.

Dyping Escape

Typing games are making a comeback and this time, they’re unhinged. Enter Dyping Escape, a morbid typing game that invites players to type words that could warp yours and the game’s very existence.

“Yes, you just need to type as instructed. There's no need to think at all."

The game forces the player to think outside the box and utilise tips and tricks you might not necessarily think of doing in order to regain control of your computer and avoid typing your own death sentence.

Dyping Escape first made waves within the Japanese community after achieving more than 400,000 plays on the unityroom website for its Japanese build. Its global launch should be coming sometime in 2026.

SUMMER ROAD 10-Minute Auto Roguelite

If lamenting at the amount of games to play and not having enough time to play them all sounds familiar, this might just be the game for you. SUMMER ROAD 10-Minute Auto Roguelite, as the name suggests, is a casual RPG with roguelite elements that takes just ten minutes to play. The game comes with autobattling capabilities, allowing players to focus just on building out a team. Each run is unique and will change based on the routes you take and the events that play out.

The game also has a quaint neighbourhood story to it with lovable characters that all seem quite reminiscent of Earthbound. This is definitely a cute one to pick up once it’s out in 2026!

Ramen://Protocol

There are roguelike deckbuilding games aplenty these days, but Ramen Protocol offers the unique premise of using cards to help you run a ramen stall inside a cyberpunk city. Players take on the role of an ex-gang member who has left the hard life behind to open their dream ramen shop. However, an old friend shows up to bring you back to your family. You must serve her ramen so good, she changes her mind about taking you home.

Gameplay-wise, it seems fairly simple but satisfying. Use card commands to help plate your ramen for your customers ensuring it matches exactly what they want. Money earned can then be used to upgrade skills and toppings, making your ramen even more powerful. Last through a 10 day cycle of ramen shop operations and your run is complete.

One Song, One Life

If you had a goal to reach, how much would you be willing to sacrifice for it? These are the questions you’ll be confronted with in One Song, One Life - a rhythm adventure game about chasing your musical dreams.

Play as Sumire Kirishima, a 19 year old Tokyoite who is hell-bent on becoming a famous artist and will sing her way to the top. Sumire’s career lies in your hands as you not only help her sing through tapping notes to the rhythm, but certain “decision notes” will appear which will shape her story. Perfect scores might lead to stardom but too many misses and it’s game over for you and Sumire!

ARROW WORLD

Enjoy some light puzzling moments in ARROW WORLD, a game about conveyor belts and cardboard boxes! Your objective as a warehouse designer is to guide the cardboard box named “Hakoby” to the goal.

The challenge lies in the fact that Hakoby never stops moving, so place your conveyor belts in both a timely and strategic manner to ensure our adorable boxy friend doesn’t get lost!
